Declassified Files Reveal Black Triangle Sightings Over U.S. Military Bases

Declassified Files Reveal Black Triangle Sightings Over U.S. Military Bases

Newly declassified government files released on October 23 detail sightings of black triangle-shaped objects observed flying at speeds reaching 1,800 miles per hour over secret U.S. military bases. The files indicate that these objects traveled without vapor trails, and the specific dates and locations of the sightings have been redacted for security reasons.

This release is part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE), marking the seventh batch of documents made available to the public under this program. Government officials have indicated that more releases are planned in the future.

According to the documents, observers reported that the triangles moved silently and emitted no exhaust gases. These sightings have raised significant concerns regarding the advanced technology observed and the implications of these objects being present over top-secret sites where the U.S. government conducts tests on new technologies.

An FBI report included in the release noted that one object was observed moving 1.5 miles in just three seconds, translating to a speed of approximately 1,800 miles per hour. Sketches released by the government depict a black, triangle-shaped object hovering over a mountainous area, although no photographs were provided.

Witnesses reported that the triangles produced no sound and showed no signs of exhaust. A thermal scan of one of the objects indicated a consistent heat signal, which differs from that of conventional aircraft or drones that typically register higher heat in specific areas, such as around engines.

Two primary witnesses reported experiencing no physiological effects, such as disorientation or memory gaps, according to a memo from the Department of War. Reports indicated that one object flew at an elevation of 200 to 300 feet and measured about nine feet in length, with a wingspan of approximately 13 feet.

Unexplained Features of Triangle Sightings

A memo from the War Department described another triangle sighting as having a seamless, featureless surface devoid of any discernible structural features, propulsive apertures, or cockpit elements. Government officials have dismissed the possibility that these objects are American technology and expressed skepticism about their origin, noting that no known countries possess such advanced capabilities.

The sightings have raised alarms regarding the technology observed and the potential implications of these objects being present over sensitive military sites. As reported by the Guardian, two senior military observers witnessed one of the objects flying at an extraordinarily high speed over a critical site in the western United States earlier this year.

The documents do not provide definitive proof of alien life, and officials have stated that it remains unclear whether the triangular objects originated from foreign nations. The October 23 release is part of an ongoing effort to disclose information regarding unidentified flying objects (UFOs), with previous releases also failing to provide conclusive evidence of extraterrestrial life.

Cleared for Release

The current batch includes documents from various government agencies, including the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, and the Department of State, with records spanning from 1950 to 2026. The release process has drawn comparisons to earlier disclosures, including information related to the History Channel's reality show Skinwalker Ranch, which is noted in the files as a hotspot for UFO sightings and unexplained phenomena.

The files also document unidentified sightings around California's Catalina Island and include a NASA document from the 1960s that offers guidance on what to do if someone encounters space fragments. As of now, the question of what the black triangles are and who, if anyone, operates them remains unresolved. Government officials have not provided a timeline for the next tranche of files, and the documents released did not include photographs of the objects, only sketches depicting a black, triangle-shaped object over a mountainous area.
