Netflix Releases Trailer for Season 2 of "Black Doves"
Netflix has released the trailer for the second season of its spy thriller "Black Doves," which stars Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw, and Sarah Lancashire, among others. In this upcoming season, Helen Webb, portrayed by Knightley, continues to feed British secrets to the covert Black Doves organization while her husband, Wallace, prepares to assume the role of Prime Minister.
Helen's precarious balancing act becomes increasingly dangerous as her handler, Mrs. Reed, played by Lancashire, becomes embroiled in a plot that threatens her position within the organization. Meanwhile, Helen reconnects with Sam, portrayed by Whishaw, whose life has taken a downturn since the previous season. Once an elite triggerman, Sam now finds himself drinking alone in Soho and taking on low-level assassination jobs.
The duo's latest mission draws them back into a web of old allies and enemies, pushing them deeper into the secrets and internal politics of the Black Doves. Returning cast members from the first season include Ella Lily Hyland, Gabrielle Creevy, Agnes O’Casey, and the legendary Kathryn Hunter as crime boss Lenny Lines. However, fans will notice the absence of Omari Douglas, who played Sam’s ex-boyfriend Michael in the first season.

This season also introduces a host of new characters, featuring an impressive lineup that includes Babou Ceesay, Neve Campbell, Sylvia Hoeks, Goran Kostic, Sam Riley, Samuel Barnett, and rising star Ambika Mod. Joe Barton, who wrote and created the series, serves as the executive producer. The entire season is set to premiere on November 5th.
