Ron Johnson Calls for COVID Reckoning Amid Media Silence on Fauci
During a recent appearance on FNC’s "Sunday Morning Futures," Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) called for a thorough examination of the COVID-19 pandemic's origins, particularly in light of claims made by former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard alleged that Anthony Fauci misled Congress and the public about the virus's origins. Johnson stated, "Well, we now know that he definitely needed that pardon, yes," referencing Fauci's controversial actions.
Johnson asserted that Fauci was aware of evading the Obama administration's gain-of-function moratorium and was involved in funding dangerous research, including operations in approximately 120 biolabs worldwide, with 40 located in Ukraine. He questioned the rationale behind sharing sensitive research with the Chinese government, expressing concern over the implications of such actions.
As Johnson continued, he noted the increasing amount of documented evidence surrounding these issues, stating, "Yes, my questions would be centering on what did you know? Did you know it?" He expressed anticipation for Fauci's responses in upcoming hearings, emphasizing the importance of honesty, especially since Fauci has received a pardon that may limit his legal defenses.
Johnson also criticized the mainstream media for its lack of coverage on these significant revelations, stating, "The legacy media continues to cover all this up. They’re not covering this as news." He highlighted the absence of reporting on his findings regarding safety signals known to Peter Marks and Gabbard's disclosures.
He concluded by reiterating the need for a "COVID reckoning," stressing the importance of ensuring the American public is fully informed about the events surrounding the pandemic to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
