Amit Shah to Attend National Security Strategies Conference in Delhi
Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in the National Security Strategies Conference (NSSC) scheduled for August 23 and 24 in New Delhi. This significant event will see the attendance of more than 850 officers from various security forces, intelligence agencies, and state police departments, who will engage in discussions both in person and virtually. The conference aims to address a wide array of contemporary security issues, including the threats posed by terrorism, the rise of cybercrime, financial fraud, and the narcotics trade. Furthermore, the agenda will cover challenges associated with encrypted communication applications, as well as concerns regarding infiltration and illegal immigration. The discussions will also extend to aviation and port security, emphasizing the need for enhanced coordination between Central and state agencies, particularly in efforts to repatriate fugitives linked to terrorism and smuggling activities. The NSSC was initiated following a directive from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the DGP/IGP conference in 2016, with the objective of utilizing the extensive experience of senior officers to develop effective strategies for tackling major national security challenges.
