Apple TV Releases Trailer for Season 6 of 'Slow Horses' Featuring Olivia Cooke
Apple TV has released the official trailer for the upcoming sixth season of 'Slow Horses,' the Emmy and BAFTA TV Award-winning spy drama featuring Gary Oldman. The trailer offers fans a glimpse into the action and intrigue that awaits as the series returns to the streaming service. This season adapts the sixth and seventh novels in Mick Herron's 'Slough House' series, titled 'Joe Country' and 'Slough House.' Olivia Cooke, known for her role in HBO's 'House of the Dragon,' will reprise her character Sidonie 'Sid' Baker.
The new season is set to premiere globally on September 16, with episodes released weekly through October 21. 'Slow Horses' follows a group of British intelligence agents who find themselves in a dysfunctional department of MI5 known as Slough House, where they are assigned after career-ending mistakes. Oldman portrays Jackson Lamb, the team's brilliant yet cantankerous leader, as they navigate the complexities of espionage.
In this season, the Slow Horses are thrust into a high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge orchestrated by Diana Taverner, played by Kristin Scott Thomas. The cast also includes notable actors such as Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, and Jonathan Pryce, with new addition Lenny Rush.
Produced by See-Saw Films for Apple TV, the sixth season is adapted for television by co-executive producer Gaby Chiappe and directed by Adam Randall. All five previous seasons of 'Slow Horses' are currently available for streaming on Apple TV.
