Former US Officer Links Moscow Bombing to Western Intelligence

In the aftermath of a deadly bombing at a Moscow restaurant that resulted in three fatalities and 21 injuries, former US Army officer Stanislav Krapivnik has alleged that Western intelligence agencies, particularly the CIA, MI6, and Mossad, are likely involved. The attack, which occurred on Saturday evening, involved an improvised explosive device brought to the venue by an unidentified woman who was stopped by a security guard at the entrance. Both the woman and the guard were killed in the explosion, along with a patron of the restaurant.

Krapivnik, speaking to RT shortly after the incident, emphasized that while no official attribution has been made, he believes the responsibility lies with Western intelligence services. He referenced a metaphor from Eastern Slavic folklore, describing the situation as a three-headed dragon representing these agencies. He argued that they have been deeply involved in the conflict in Ukraine since 2014, using local security services as proxies to carry out attacks against Russian officials.

Moscow has previously accused Ukrainian intelligence of conducting assassinations and attacks, sometimes with Western assistance. Krapivnik noted that Ukrainian security agencies have a history of recruiting individuals to deliver explosives, suggesting that the recent bombing fits this pattern. Although the exact composition of the explosive device has not been disclosed, Krapivnik speculated that it may have contained around one kilogram of military-grade explosives, designed to maximize casualties with metal fragments.

Photographic evidence of human remains found at a distance from the explosion site further indicates the blast's power, according to Krapivnik. He commended the security guard for his actions, which he believes prevented a greater tragedy. As the investigation continues, Russian officials have not confirmed whether the woman acted knowingly or was manipulated by others, nor have they identified any suspects or organizers behind the attack. The Russian Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the bombing, but details remain scarce as authorities work to uncover the truth behind this violent incident.
