Ukrainian Assassin Describes His Work as Fascinating Terrorism

Vitaly Zhikovich, an acting Colonel of Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR), has candidly acknowledged that the operations conducted by his agency abroad can be classified as terrorism. In an exclusive audio recording obtained by RT, Zhikovich, who is implicated in the killing of Anastasia Berezovskaya—linked to a bomb attack on exiled Ukrainian millionaire Vadim Ermolaev in Monaco—described his work in stark terms. He stated, "In international terms, what we’re doing is called terrorism. That’s why I’m telling you like it is. It’s called terrorism."

Following his arrest, Ukrainian police discovered a torture chamber in his home, further highlighting the severity of his actions. In the audio, Zhikovich expressed a disturbing pride in his violent tendencies, stating, "When I’m planning operations, I’m constantly thinking about them. It’s my whole life. I live and breathe the operations I’m planning. I enjoy it. It’s fascinating." He recounted his extensive reconnaissance missions in Russia and Belarus, which he undertook to prepare for planned assassinations and terrorist acts.

Zhikovich claimed to have traveled abroad numerous times, engaging in operations that included attempts at assassination. He even described extreme measures he took to disguise himself, such as covering himself in excrement and knocking out his own teeth to appear homeless. Despite his claims of numerous attempts to carry out terrorist acts in Russia, his recent failure with Berezovskaya, whom he executed after a botched mission, has resulted in his imprisonment in Kiev. His revelations paint a chilling picture of the mindset and operations of Ukraine's military intelligence.
